Dermal fillers are for:
- Restoring facial volume
- Reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles
- Rejuvenating skin texture and tone
Here at Arla Aesthetics we use only premium branded products to ensure you receive the best outcome from your treatment. This semi-permanent, Hyaluronic acid substance is naturally found within our skin and it’s what supports volume, hydration and elasticity.
As we age our natural replacement of Hyaluronic acid reduces therefore we begin to notice a sallowing and loss of volume and hydration to our skin which then creates fine lines and wrinkles and we notice a a reduction in plumpness to our skin.
How does it work?
You will be given a full consultation prior to any treatment undertaken so you can discuss with the nurse areas of the skin you wish to improve. The nurse will discuss the product of choice and go through expectations and devise a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
The filler is injected within the skin and contains lidocaine to ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure. Once injected this gel like, consistency product gives an instant lift and replaces volume loss immediately post treatment to smooth out fine line and wrinkles and replace volume loss.
Dermal fillers are most popularly used to replace volume in the cheeks, lips, chin, nose to mouth lines (Naso labial folds) and marionette lines.
Pre treatment advise,
The nurse will be injecting into the skin so it is best for you to avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment as alcohol naturally thins the blood. Anti inflammatories should also be avoided for his reason as bruising may be more common and severe following your treatment. If you are on any blood thinning medication from your GP, please do not discontinue this prior to treatment but inform the treating nurse before your appointment, please discuss any concerns you may have with the nurse.

Arla aesthetics only use semi-permanent fillers which means that once you have got to your desired result the filler treatment will need to be maintained. Fillers lasts approximately 6-12 months dependant upon product and your individual metabolic state, lifestyle etc treatment results will be discussed by the nurse at your appointment further
Following filler treatment you can continue with your day to day activities but you may initially experience some swelling and redness to the site treated. Bruising following treatment may also be noticed and so planning your treatment in advance of any events, parties etc would be recommended.
